Honor Flight

Last month, my Grandpa went to Washington D.C. through a program called the Honor Flight.

"The Honor Flight Network’s primary mission is to fly World War II Veterans to Washington DC, to visit their newly constructed WWII Memorial. Our primary focus is on World War II Veterans because they are our nation’s most senior heroes. Across America, about 1,000 WWII Veterans pass away every day....It is our mission to transport these veterans if they have never been able to visit the various national memorials constructed to honor the service and sacrifice of their brothers and sisters in arms. My Grandpa was a B-24 Pilot during World War II and flew 60 missions in Italy. He is now close to 90 years old and still working on the farm with my Dad and Uncle! I am so proud of him and what he did for not only our country but our family. Here are a few photos of his trip (He is the one with the glasses):
