Matt and Inga hosted a birthday party for my Grandma who turned 90 on July 1st. We had a beautiful cake and desserts. Grandma opened presents and then we shared different memories of her. We all had a wonderful time celebrating her life and I hope she did too!

New Baby

Between surgery and bedrest, this Baby is going to be pretty special! Thanks to everyone who has been helping us, especially my Mom and Sister. I love you both very much!

Honor Flight

Last month, my Grandpa went to Washington D.C. through a program called the Honor Flight.

"The Honor Flight Network’s primary mission is to fly World War II Veterans to Washington DC, to visit their newly constructed WWII Memorial. Our primary focus is on World War II Veterans because they are our nation’s most senior heroes. Across America, about 1,000 WWII Veterans pass away every day....It is our mission to transport these veterans if they have never been able to visit the various national memorials constructed to honor the service and sacrifice of their brothers and sisters in arms. " (http://www.honorflight.org)

My Grandpa was a B-24 Pilot during World War II and flew 60 missions in Italy. He is now close to 90 years old and still working on the farm with my Dad and Uncle! I am so proud of him and what he did for not only our country but our family. Here are a few photos of his trip (He is the one with the glasses):

Monroe is a chatter box these days. His most recent thing that he says is: "Stop, okay, I[m] do[ing] something."

Monroe is obsessed with the movie CARS. As many of you know, Life is a Highway was remade by Rascal Flatts for this movie. Consequently, this is Monroe's favorite song. Brandon was able to catch him on video "singing" out on our deck.
Cole had his first baseball game of the season last Saturday. We were very impressed with how competative the game was! Cole hit the ball on the first pitch every time and scored twice. We are looking forward to watching him this year! Brandon is also helping as his assistant coach again this year.

Hallie is saying so much now and will repeat pretty much anything you say.
Instead of just saying "yes" when we ask her a question, she says, "Uh, yeah, uh, uh, mmm." I'm not sure where she came up with that but it's pretty funny to hear!

I love having a little girl that can wear pretty dresses!
My mom got a new shirt for Hallie.

Spring Concert

Cole's spring concert was focused on praise and worship. It was so neat to see all those young kids lifting their hands and praising God!

Grand Prix

Coleman was in a pine box derby through his church group. This was the first year he was old enough to participate. He designed his car and helped with the construction including sanding and painting! He ended up winning 1st place for the third grade boys and out of all the boys he got 2nd place. Not bad for his first year!!! He had so much fun!

We went to Chicago to Shedd Aquarium and the Rainforest Cafe to celebrate Brandon's promotion! Hallie got slippers at the Rainforest Cafe.

Cole got a haircut! He was growing it out long and one day, decided he wanted it short!

My sister turned 30 this year so my mom and sisters-in-law threw a dinner party. We had a blast!

Cole was in basketball this winter. He did a great job and had lots of fun. They won most of their games!

Cole got to be Brair Rabbit in his class play.
